A little over a week ago – new SoCal band Comfortable Dread dropped their debut single “Your Knife” on streaming platforms – with a familiar name listed as the track’s producer, HU’s own Danny Murillo.
Turns out Comfortable Dread’s frontwoman is none other than Scarlett Murillo, Danny’s daughter. Alongside bandmates Mylo, Alex, Angel and Mayeson (himself son of rapper Suga Free), the five piece band have been playing cover sets in SoCal and getting into new music with this initial track that gives off some of those classic Lorene Drive moods.
We’ve embedded the official YouTube upload of the track above, but listeners can tune into what’s next with Comfortable Dread by checking out the band over on their Spotify and YouTube Channel.
