Following up from our post a few weeks ago, Hollywood Undead’s former label, Interscope Records, has officially revealed their brand new release of Swan Songs coming in August as part of their Interscope Vinyl Collective (IVC) program.  We can also confirm that in contrast to the previous reissue of the album on vinyl, the band was indeed contacted this time around ahead of the release being announced!  Also of note is that this release will include all of the Swan Songs B-Sides and Swan Songs Rarities tracks – just shy of the Collector’s Edition that includes the “Black Dahlia” remixes as well, but we’re not complaining with these songs making it onto the release!

The full page for the new release was updated this week ahead of the vinyl’s August release, and drops in a limited run of 3000 on August 1st at 12PM Pacific.

We’ve reproduced the full listing below for posterity-

Hollywood Undead – “Swan Songs (Deluxe)” IVC Edition

Armed with mysterious personas, party-rap lyrics and an aggressive, exuberant fusion of hip-hop, hard rock, and pop, Hollywood Undead exploded from MySpace darlings — they were the first band signed to the social media platform’s label — to bona fide stars.

On their 2008 debut, the group enlisted production help from Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and Don Gilmore (Linkin Park) to create an album that, to quote The Punk Site, “swaggers through your speakers in [a] self-confident, cocky way.”

Album opener “Undead” interpolates and upends the riff from Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” to set the scene for the rest of the album. The minor-key party vibe of “Everywhere I Go” mingles with the group’s ode to their home state in “California,” while album standouts “No. 5” and “Young” deliver the record’s catchiest hooks, placing the group beyond their rap-rock peers.

“If you’re looking for the soundtrack to that one crazy party,” wrote The Punk Site, “this just might be the little gem for which you seek.”
