When I released treading water two years back, I decided to really try my best and get better at music production so I could release my own music anytime. I want [to be] at a professional level and be proud of it. It took a long time to get here and I’ll never be done learning. But I’m super proud of this song and the ones coming up. They’re all in-house, completely produced mixed and mastered by myself, I love writing music with Mikey. He’s a great lyricist and together we flow so well. We have a bunch of cool songs coming up and I hope when people listen to them they can hear the genuine sincerity in them. I feel like there’s something more genuine about music that is recorded by the artist.
